The Noble House of Saudaire

In the year 1449DR, following the death of King Azoun V and the coronation of the current King Foril, a small family of tieflings descending from the northeern regions of Narfell began a small winery and ale production company in the town of Minroe, just west of the King's Forest. As a large portion of the kingdom focused on rebuilding in the wake of the spellplague, House Saudaire remained vigilant towards their business venture and amassed a considerable amount of wealth and economic influence in doing so. In the year 1470DR House Saudaire was granted noble status by the Royal Court in Suzail, becoming the first non-human nobility in the Kingdom's history. This was an outrage to many of the existing noble families, but their opposition fell on deaf ears and, over time, House Saudaire was grudgingly accepted despite their lack of popularity. Currently, in the year of 1479DR, the Noble House of Saudaire resides under the tenure of Lord Carpathy Saudaire and his daughter Vermilion. While still a comparatively small family, they hold estates in the western towns of Old Axe, Skull Crag, and continue to maintain their wine and ale business in Minroe. The family manor can also be found in Minroe, across the street from the winery/brewery, and is kept by their house Master-At-Arms Elswix. The family crest, which can be found upon any of their fermented products, consists of a black stork against a white cloud. Though hated by the "traditional nobility" of the realm, House Saudaire has remained in the good graces of Royal Suzail and remains loyal to both Crown and Country.
