As the sun set upon the day of Braylon and Caraga's return from death, the party as a whole stirred and made their way into the condemned building under the cover of nightfall. A short assessment of the local guard patrol and the servant's key was put to good use as everyone began their search of the building's interior. Nothing seemed amiss until Caraga found a hidden staircase behind the hearth and the adventure was afoot.
The first two rooms of the secret enclave dished up a crossbow trap and four of the live-in sentries which were dispatched with little effort by the group. The party then descended further down through a pseudodragon roost which alerted the enclave's keeper and her guardians to every one's presence. The following battle was fierce and hard fought, but the heros prevailed. As they sacked the room they uncovered a few bits of treasure and three curious documents. Glancing over them, they continued on into the bowels of the city, only to confront two more wyrmlings cared for by their recently slain adversaries.
In a flurry of steel, spell, and breath weapons, the party was again victorious. With the local authorities alerted, a Purple Dragon Knight in league with Silas alerted the party to the growing danger of their exploits in Old Axe and ushered them into an awaiting carriage destined for Skull Crag to the north. With their ally Asim the Fire Genasi at the reins, the carriage traveled through the peaceful Cormyrian night. As the sun began to rise over the Storm Horns on the eastern horizon, the walls of Skull Crag could be seen in the distance. Somewhere within Silas awaited their arrival.
*Skull Crag is known as one of the two permanent settlements in and around the Storm Horn Mountains. It is a mining community with a population of roughly 1,000 and is also known for its awe-inspiring shrine to the god Kelemvor.
*The documents taken from the desk within the condemned building may be useful clues to a number of possibilities. Perhaps Senior War Wizard Silas could make better sense of them...
*You may want to lay low for a bit as rumors and speculation revolving around recent events in Old Axe are fresh on the lips of every commoner and nobleman.
